High Chapel closed in 2006 after 279 years as a place of worship and 346 years of Non-conformist Christian witness in the village. The pictures on this page were taken on the day of the last service, 29th April 2006.The nearest URC churches are at Sedbergh, Kendal, and Penrith.
Following its closure as a place of worship the High Chapel was acquired by the Parish Council and renamed as the Ravenstonedale Community and Heritage Centre. It is now a venue for community activities. Details of events will normally be available on the Whats On page of this website.
