A supper theatre fund raising event was held in the church by Friends of St Oswald's in February 2013. Two evenings of mirth, music and mishap was hugely appreciated by capacity audiences and helped to raise substantial funds towards the upkeep of St Oswald's. The Robbie Burns themed event centred on narrations of Tam O'Shanter and other Burns poems hilariously illustrated by a cast of enthusiastic local actors and school children, most of whom had no previous acting experience. A seriously good time was had by all.
